If you visit Hvar during the Holy Week, you have the rare opportunity to participate in centuries-old and imposing religious ceremonies. Zou might want to see the Maundy Thursday procession “Following the Cross” (“Za Križen” in Croatian), which has been held in Jelsa and the nearby villages for five centuries. The procession to the Holy Sepulchre is taking place in various churches in Hvar, and the evening one takes place on the main square on Good Friday.
